In a far-away land, dwarven Brewmasters are competing to make the most delicious drinks for the upcoming Orctober BeerFest! Players take on the role of one of these Brewmasters, managing their brewery, farm and workers.
Compete for the Golden Stein at the Orctober BeerFest in Fantasy Brewers. Each player leads a dwarven Brewmaster overseeing a growing brewery, farm and workforce. Beer and whisky must be produced in time for the festival, but success also depends on purchasing ingredients, selling goods, hiring capable helpers and improving the buildings that keep the entire operation running.
Workers of different sizes are assigned to shared action spaces and queue until their locations are resolved. Their eventual actions allow players to buy and sell goods, brew beer, distil whisky, extend the brewery and decorate for the approaching festival. The queue structure means that worker placement determines not only which type of action becomes available, but also when that action will take place.
Beyond drink production, each Brewmaster must manage the farm, build or convert facilities and hire additional helpers before the available months run out. Trading goods at favourable prices can support further development, while brewery improvements and festival preparations provide more opportunities to collect points. At the end of the game, the Brewmaster with the highest victory point total receives the Golden Stein and wins the BeerFest competition.
